Joint final meeting AMAZALERT and ROBIN: 'Impacts of climate and land-use on rainforest biomass and their services in Latin America' (October 2014)

AMAZALERT will have its final project meeting in Brazil. This meeting will be jointly organised with the ‘sister’-project ROBIN (www.robinproject.info), which studies the link between biodiversity and climate change mitigation for South-America.

The meeting is organised by INPE and EMBRAPA and will take place on 6 - 10 October, 2014

Global programme outline:

  • a meeting for stakeholders and policy makers (6 October, Belem, PA, Brazil), where combined insights and products of both projects will be discussed
  • Joint Science meeting: presentation and discussion of key project results and progress; the wider science context (7 October, Alter-do-Chao, Santarem, PA, Brazil)
  • Joint excursion to local communities and the Tapajos national forest reserve: research sites on 8 October
  • project internal workshops (8-10 October, Alter-do-Chao, Santarem, PA, Brazil)
